New gallery space

We have had a move around at Lorimer headquarters! The offices have now been moved upstairs and we now have a great space downstairs for a gallery.
Each artist currently has their own wall under development and we then have a smaller wall offering our other services where we alter peoples photos in The Strawberry Workshop.
Any one in the area should pop in to see a large range of the fantastic range of images on offer!

Please meet our second artist Dan Leonard...



"The only thing that has ever really held my interest is art. Having people see and react to images and characters that come from inside my head gives me a great thrill. I was born in London in 1985 but moved to Ireland at an early age and studied animation at A.I.D.T. Dublin. There, I learned about flow and movement and how to tell a story both in animated work and in still images. While I am still interested in animation, I believe that I can connect better with more people through still images. Most of my interest lies with graphic design and canvas painting. Most work is created using spray paint or graphic pens. As with any form of art, there is always room for improvement and I am always challenging myself to get better and better. "

I would like to give you a quick introduction to our artists as we have just launched our second site http://www.theprintartcompany.com/
Firstly meet Trevor Ogilvie.....

'I was born in Dublin, and now live in Kilkenny with my wife. Having studied textiles in Scotland, I worked in both England and Ireland in industry as a textile designer. Using the same basics as in woven fabrics, colour and composition, it has been a natural transition for me into photography. Photography had always been a hobby of mine but it has now progressed into much more. The development of digital photography along with the computer has opened the way to greater creativity for me as an artist. '

Trevor has produced a vast array of images for our collection. You will find these under the following categories on the website.....

We are now currently developing another side to our ever expanding business!

The Print Art Company represents a portfolio of Irish art and photography we have selected over the past year and a half.

Kilkenny based artist Trevor Ogilvie is an accomplished photographer who has a specific interest in altered and abstract digital photography.

Dan Leonard is a very up and coming street artist and animator. Educated in Kilkenny and now working from Dublin his works are becoming ever more popular thanks to exhibitions and installations in bars and homes around the city.

Hello and welcome to my blog!
As we are still a new company I am trying to set up new networks and avenues to inform people we are here.
Our studio and office space is located in the picturesque Estate Yard in Castlecomer Co. Kilkenny.
The Yard houses many artists and workshops working with a variety of media and attracts many visitors.
So far the company has been set up and is currently run between myself and my dad.
Both coming from backgrounds of sales and management and both sharing a keen interest in the arts, the company slowly developed from a series of ideas.
It took nearly 2 years in the making and careful preparation but we are here now are raring to go!
